A Day of Healing, Hope, and Humanity
In a powerful show of unity, compassion, and community empowerment, FPSDI (Federation for Private Drivers Initiative) successfully organized a Free Community Medical Camp that went beyond healthcare — it became a symbol of hope, collaboration, and impact. Held in the heart of the community, the event brought together drivers, their families, and the general public for a day of life-changing services and education — all at no cost.
Service and Solidity
With hundreds in attendance, the camp offered:
✅ Free Eye Testing
✅ Free Blood Donation Services
✅ Voluntary HIV Testing & Counseling
✅ First Aid Training for Road Accident Victims by Uganda Red Cross Society
✅ Health Talks on Preventive Care
✅ Driver Wellness Checks & Referrals
But it wasn’t just about treatment — it was about transformation. Our mission was simple:
"Healthier drivers. Safer roads. Stronger communities."
Collaboration that made it possible
This milestone was made possible by the incredible partnership and support from: Uganda Red Cross Society KCCA (Kampala Capital City Authority) Uganda Police – Traffic Division Webcare Health Services Rotary Uganda Buganda Kingdom Officials Ministry of Health representatives Local community leaders, cultural institutions, and health workers Their presence didn’t just bring resources — it brought credibility, trust, and real solutions to the lives of those who need them most.
As FPSDI, we know that a healthy driver is a safe driver, and that driver wellness affects more than just individuals — it shapes families, businesses, and national safety.
Through this medical outreach, we not only offered care but also educated drivers on:

This was more than a one-off event. It’s part of FPSDI’s broader vision to: Offer monthly wellness support for drivers. Create a network of health partner organizations across Uganda. Launch a mobile medical outreach unit targeting road-side stops and transport hubs.
