We Don’t Just Represent Drivers — We Transform Their World
At FPSDI, our mission goes beyond advocacy. We’re reimagining what life can look like for private drivers in Uganda and across Africa — starting from the driver's seat and stretching to their homes, families, and communities. Whether you're a private chauffeur, a rideshare driver, or a corporate fleet operator, the challenges are often the same: unpredictable income, poor working conditions, lack of legal protection, and limited access to professional development. What We’re Doing to Drive Change
To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it? But who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences, or one who avoids a pain that produces.
From defensive driving skills to financial literacy, we equip drivers with tools that boost their confidence, competence, and career prospects.
We train drivers in side-income skills like urban farming, small-scale trading, and basic tech use — because one income stream is no longer enough.
Many drivers face legal battles or workplace mistreatment alone. FPSDI offers guidance, connects them to legal aid, and stands as a shield when needed.
When tragedy strikes, FPSDI steps in. We assist families of accident victims, offering counseling, community support, and where possible, livelihood restoration.
We work hand-in-hand with government agencies, private sector players, NGOs, and international partners to create a sustainable ecosystem for driver welfare.
